Popcorn (Zea mays var. everta)

An early popcorn variety with very dark purple, almost black kernels. The plants are around 160 cm tall with 14-16 leaves and normally bear one 12-20 cm long cob with 16-20 rows of normal sized popcorn. 95-100 days (around 130 days from sowing to harvest in Sweden). Popcorn from this variety have a delicious taste.
This variety was bred by Prairie Road Organic Seed in the 1980's.
