Bush Dry Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris )
Dry beans are allowed to grow until the pods are completely mature and dry. The pods are then shelled to get the seeds, which can then be saved and boiled after soaking. The seeds of different varieties have different colours, shapes and sizes: white beans, kidney beans, brown beans, black beans, borlotti beans etc.
Dry bush (dwarf) beans don't need any support. They are grown in rows 40-45 cm apart and with 8-12 cm between the plants in the row.
