Spelt (Triticum aestivum subsp. spelta)

Farro grande

This is an Italian variety. I don't know it's real name, since it comes from grains I bought in a grocery store. But "Farro grande" means spelt in Italian.
This variety gives a good yield and does well in our Swedish climate. It is autumn sown. The plants are 120-140 cm tall and the ears often have a darker colour.
