Einkorn (Triticum monococcum)

A free threshing (hulless) variety of einkorn wheat. Works fine for spring sowing and also as an autumn sown winter wheat. 70-105 cm high. For a free threshing einkorn this variety gives a decent yield.
The winter hardiness was rather bad, but this could be because the autumn growth was rather slow, and therefore the plants were not established enough before the winter. Sowing earlier could remedy this.
I got this variety from the German gene bank IPK Gatersleben.
