Dala vårvete
An old spring sown landrace wheat from Dalarna in Sweden. Also called "Lantvete Dalarna". Like many landraces it is variable and has ears both with and without awns and also differently coloured ears. This variety has a high protein content and is good for baking. Rather early maturing, but gives a rather modest yield. The ears are rather short. 80-115 cm high.
