Piennolo (Solanum lycopersicum )

Napoletana

This piennolo tomato comes from the Naples area. The fruits are red, 4-5 cm long, pear-shaped and have two seed chambers and a characteristic shape. The two chambers bulge outwards a bit and between them there is a soft groove on the outside. The fruit has a distinct pointed tip where the flower has been. This variety is indeterminate and grows tall. I originally got seeds for this variety from a friend at work.
