Flint Corn (Zea mays var. indurata)

Saskatoon White Flint

This flint corn is only 95-120 cm high, has 11-13 leaves and matures very early.
The cobs are 9-12 cm long with 8-10 rows of white grains (a few cobs are orange or red). 75-80 days (110-120 total days in Sweden).
Since the plants are rather small they can be grown at row and plant spacing arount 27 cm.
(Saskatchewan White Flint has a similar name, but should not be confused with this variety. They are rather different.)
