Flour Corn (Zea mays var. amylacea)
Flour corn kernels consist entirely of soft endosperm and are therefore soft and chalk white inside. As the name implies it is used to grind for flour, but also for making parched corn or as animal fodder.
Flour corn can be sown from a soil temperature of 10 °C, which is usually at the beginning of May in southern Sweden.
