Triticale (Triticosecale)
An allohexaploid cross between rye (Secale cereale) and wheat (Triticum turgidum), which has only been grown much for a few decades, since the plant breeding brought out good varieties. It is high yielding and is mostly grown as fodder. I have tried growing some to see how it tastes.
